just three verses from the book of Philippians, in the New Testament. They are found in
chapter 2, verses 9-11. They simply state that GOD, THE FATHER, has given JESUS a name
that is honored above any other name. And to or before that name of JESUS, every knee
shall bow and every tongue confess that JESIS IS LORD, to the glory of GOD, THE FATHER.
That's my knee; that's your knee; that's everyone's knee. All shall bow before JESUS in
this life. But, if one doesn't take HIS message seriously in this life, he will stand
before JESUS, individually, at the Great White Throne judgment, after death. Each will
watch his own wide-screen, personal account of all his ungodly deeds that everyone else
will, also, see and hear. If anyone’s name is Not Found written in the 'Lamb's Book
of Life' - a record kept in Heaven of all who, personally, have received JESUS CHRIST as
personal Lord and Savior and are living for HIM each day, and whose sins have been
forgiven- he will be cast into everlasting punishment and torment, with no possible hope
of redemption from that place."

Christian voters decided the 2000 election.
Christian voters will decide this year's election. And I can prove it, if you will take a
few minutes to read this message.
Facts
about Election 2000
In 2000, the voting age population of the United States was 203 million. According to the Barna Group,
41% of adults in 2000 were born-again Christians (see note below on how Barna identifies
"born-again" individuals). But since Christian voters were more likely to vote
than non-Christian voters (59% to 46%), nearly half of all votes were cast by Christian
Americans. According to Barna, in the 2000 presidential election there were slightly less
than 50 million Christian voters, and slightly more than 55 million non-born-again voters.
That means about 48% of voters in the presidential election were born-again. Now, other
than male-female, it is difficult to identify a demographic group in a national
presidential election that represents 48% of all voters. Christian voters may be the
single largest demographic! Of those 50 million Christian voters, 57% voted for George W.
Bush and 42% voted for Al Gore. So while Christian voters were not a clear-cut voting
block for either candidate, there was a 15-point swing. Barna estimates that the 15%
margin in Bush's favor represented about 7.1 million votes in an election that was decided
by just hundreds of votes in Florida and thousands of votes in other states.
From
this data we can conclude:
1. Christian voters provided the margin of
victory for George W. Bush.
2. Christian voter turnout was higher than the
national average. If Christian voters had voted at the same rate as non-Christian voters,
there would have been about 11 million fewer Christian votes, a swing of about 1.6 million
votes that Bush would have lost. And Bush would likely have lost the election. Thus,
Christian voters decided the 2000 election on two fronts: by the RATE at which they voted
and by THE CHOICE they made.
Reversal
from 1996
In fact, it can be argued that Christian voters
decided the 1996 election as well. Barna says Bob Dole only had a 6 point margin over Bill
Clinton in 1996 Christian votes. If Dole had secured the same percentage of Christian
voters in 1996 as Bush did in 2000, it would have given him about 4 million more votes and
made the 1996 election as close as the 2000 election.
Again, Christian voters made the crucial
difference.
Applying
the lessons to 2004
Here are three critical things we have learned:
1. Christian voters will be the largest and most
important demographic in the 2004 election and will likely represent between 45% and 50%
of all voters.
2. Christian voters will decide the election by
their TURNOUT.
3. Christian voters will decide the election by
their CHOICE.

on how Barna defines "born-again"
The Barna survey does not ask people if they are
"born-again." Instead, it identifies individuals as "born-again" if
they say "they have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ that is still
important in their life today," and who also indicate they believe that when they die
they will go to Heaven because they have confessed their sins and have accepted Jesus
Christ as their Savior.
